yes that was a pity for Zico to be blamed like that in 1986. As other all-time great forwards have missed important penalties that lost them tournaments...Baggio (1994) and van Basten (1992) to name just two.

edric69 I think Zico was possibly past his best in 1986...he was almost certainly the most gifted player in Spain 1982...robbed by the king of strikers Rossi.

Zico first featured for Brazil as a youngster in Argentina World Cup 1978...he shone there as well...playing alongside Rivelino(!), and other great strikers I think one was called just 'Roberto', and another genius Dirceu (Dirceu won a trophy, as one of the best three players in Argentina 78).
