More than half of the vid is centered around the Kongoshin, showing the "Kongoshin self-cancel" and other combos using this special move.

I just can't get Gouken's basic combo. I know it's Heavy Punch => Hard Senkugoshoha. But I just can't get it to connect. I'd like to think that I'm not retarded, since I can get all of Ken's Dragon Punch combos to hit nicely.
Please help me out, anyone! Thanks! Give me some input tips or whatever.

I counter overhead attack, cancel it to down counter, which counters blanka's other other, but then I get hit three times by the ultra. ( 5x damage instead of 3x )
Can't do it like in the video, weird.

Wow, Amazing stuff from Gouken, I knew he was a beast, but that counter stuff was absolutely nuts. Were you doing a high counter into a low at the beginning?

It is the "counter self cancel", or "Kara counter".
For example, you can do a normal counter with P, and tap K fast, like in a Kara technique. Also works with normal P-> EX , bringing the possibility to block 2 hits from a EX fireball.
