@christmaszorro it didn't she came third not first or second..and she was better than the 4th definitively...but I guess easily the same can be said of the american figure skater who won over Plushenko..its suprisingly how in that incident a BBC poll found most believed Plushenko should have won, and this is very unlikely to be contested because yes she wasn't best, but was the 3rd best...yet you for some reason dwell on this rather than that or anything else...

How well do u know figure skating? 1st of all, Joannie has been on the podium many times during the Grand Prix circuit i.e. Skate America & has been on the Grand Prix podium. She's the reigning World Silver medalist. Flatt did not land all her jumps cleanly-under rotating some of them. Final rotation on her flip was on the ice therefore she received credit for only a double. Joannie has stronger component marks. She won bronze because of the marks she accumulated from the short program.

Yes she is a fantastic figure skater, but given her competition she did not perform to podium level. She has NEVER placed on the podium on any international level competition before(& probably never will again)& there is a reason for that. Her competition,Kim Yu-Na & Mao Asada are sensational & flawless.Rachel Flatt landed all of her difficult jumps solidly,Joannie almost fell twice.Politics is not supposed to come into play when scoring but in history the scoring has been corrupt & they are human.
