This is my review of the PML Knives CPM 154 fixed blade. Killer little knife made by Paul on USN (usual suspects network). See video for more and let me know if anyone has questions.

You can contact PML here:

(USN resgistration required)

or email him directly:

Gear: not really. Don't care for the sheath. My personal feel is that the blade itself would perform very well, but I don't like the sheath at all.

Gadget: Definitely a fun knife. Great unique looking design and overall package that makes it a fun collectible knife. Functionality wise it would work great as a tool as well but I don't carry it due to the sheath design.

Getaway: not a survival knife

  • I put paul's email address in the show notes for those that are looking to contact him.

  • it looks so beautiful. im talking to pual right now about getting one.

  • He makes some amazing knives, I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.

  • yeah, i've been looking at his knives on USN. i dig about 90% of them. the stuff he makes suits my style. clean, with a tough and unusual looks ,yet, they all seems very functional as a tool.for me,i dont think i'll ever find a better looking blade. this will be the most money i'd ever spend on a knife and it will be a keeper.

  • I absolutely agree. I did trade this blade, but it was a hard thing to let go. I think the only thing (as I say in the video) I disliked was a the sheath. It just wasn't designed well for how I wanted to use the knife. Throw up a picture of whatever you get on the USN! I love to see more of his stuff!

  • sure will. it'll take 3 weeks for him to make , probably 4-5 til it gets here. i probably wont heavily use it like my other EDC knives that i pull out 20+ times a day for may different tasks at work. so the sheath doesn't bother me as it will be my week end carry for SD use. in fact i like how it covers most of the blade. so it's less intimidating to others.

  • good point re the blade, I just don't like the handle covered. Personal preference of course and you make a good point about the sheeple.

  • if you grab the knife with your pinky and ring finger and pull it from the sheath with those two fingers as you extract the knife it will come from the sheath directly to a standard grip. at first it seems clumsy but with repetition you should be more comfortable with this approach.

  • yea.....my first cutlerylover's video was the smith & wesson's sharpening tool or box or something...i don't remember......it was like 9 months ago...

  • i love the blade... hate the sheath i prefer kydex or a plastic, thats just my opinion though.

  • i love the blade... hate the sheath i prefer kydex or like a plastic!!

  • the sharp end is just for gripping, so you can pull it ot with gloves.. i think..
