A Song that I dedicated to a great friend and fellow pilot, Pat Colombo, who passed away in June 2004 of cancer. Pat was a 6 time champion in Racquetball and we became great friends during our airline career. He told me once that this tune I had written reminded him of a "Whispering River"...so the song was dedicated to him and his memory. The guitar is a special one made by Stefan Sobell in Hexham, Northumberland. My thanks to both Stefan and Martin Simpson for great inspiration and motivation to continue to improve on the guitar.

  • I think more than anything with these guitars, the lows are really rich. The highs as well, but the lows really sound great. Fantastic song by the way.

  • @NDTLM Greetings...sorry it took me a few days to get to your message. I totally agree about rich tones of the Sobell guitars. Brilliant trebles and rich warm tones in the low end. Thank you for your comments on "Whispering River" I plan to re-record this song in the near future with a little better mic and the warm tones should be readily apparent. Thanks again...and best wishes! Dennis (Travispicker)
