The economy, national security, the climate crisis. The thread that links them all-- our addiction to carbon-based fuels. The solution? We must Repower America.
Do not give any money to this person. Cathy Zoi has has been send emails asking for money. All money goes right in her personal bank account . this is a bogus orginaztion and a bogus website
Most hydrogen fueling stations are in industrial zones -- away from where most people live.
Electrolysis -- running an electrical current through water with a positive and negative node to seperate hydrogen from oxygen -- consumes more energy that burning the hydrogen generates. First Law of Thermodynamics.
An alternative energy source for automobiles that is actually feasible, though not in 10 years, is lithium ion batteries.
I still think you need to do a little study in fuel cells and as grrlscientist suggests have a chat to the good folk at Mercedes Benz.
So the goal is difficult. Are you going to just roll over then? You're lucky to live in a country which is even willing to debate this. In Australia most "leaders" have their heads up their asses on this issue.
Anyway, you probably need to talk to the guys at Mercedes Benz re their Hydrogen cell vehicle/s which are set for production next year. I know Germany has a bad track record with hydrogen :oP but I seriously doubt that they wouldn't have overcome safety concerns with these vehicles.
As for a 10 year time frame. Agreed that it's very ambitious, but there's no choice but to move on it.
BS in Chemical Engineering -- from the #1 undergrad program in the US.
I know all about fuel cells. Replacing every gasoline-powered car in the country is nothing like the moonshot or even retooling tractor and automobile factories to make tanks and planes.

What's your degree in?
"Remember the Hindenburg?"
Sounds like you need to do a little study on fuel cells.
America totally re-geared it's manufacturing and economic focus post Pearl Harbour. Where there's a will, there's a way. Yes, the goal is difficult and yes there is a risk of failure so "no", you'll give up? Any patriot would support this initiative against this new enemy. The US has lots of work to do.
What the hell are you serious ? Global warming is real and there is a crisis ! Do your homework !

It's impossible to convince these fanatics that hydrogen is nothing more than an energy sink.

Fuel cells have horrible mileage.
