You killed my father. Prepare to die." And Bernadette Peters? She's fantastic at every little thing she may do. Song and lyrics suck? The song and the music is full of so much emotion. The lyrics are phenomenal. They say exactly what they need to say. Please refrain from speaking this nonsense.

English teachers often like to take music that offers different perspectives on the topics discussed in class or the books read- my AP English teacher last year had us listen to "The Ghost of Tom Joad" to get a better understanding of Steinbeck's message in The Grapes of Wrath. I'm sure your English teacher had some similar purpose in choosing this song.
