A clip from Stephen Sondheim's Sunday in the Park With George, with Mandy Patinkin and Bernadette Peters. One of my favorites from the show.

Since the show is readily available on DVD, I'm only going to upload two or three songs from the show. If you're interested in seeing the entirety, I'd highly recommend purchasing the DVD on Amazon, where it can be found here:

I'd also recommend buying the Original Cast Recording, found here:

  • Mandy Patinkin is a better George Seurat than Geroge Seurat.

  • @TheSondheimFan I love you :)

  • @dudeperson397 I don't understand why you don't like this. You say the Singing and Acting sucks? This is Mandy Patinkin. You may know him from Princess Bride? "Hallo. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." And Bernadette Peters? She's fantastic at every little thing she may do. Song and lyrics suck? The song and the music is full of so much emotion. The lyrics are phenomenal. They say exactly what they need to say. Please refrain from speaking this nonsense.

  • @dudeperson397, pfft. Shows what you know. "No one our age"? PLEASE.

  • SONDHEIM IS A GENIUS.

  • @dudeperson397 No one our age! I am 17 years old and I can clearly see the beauty and significance in this song and acting! If you can't then you are even dumber than I first believed you to be and to be quite honest I didn't think that was possible.

  • @dudeperson397 Also, I take high offense at your assertion that songs like this are "songs that no one our age cares about". The amount of ways in which that comment is completely and utterly asinine is truly astounding, so you would do yourself well to avoid any future hyperbolic statements like that.

  • @dudeperson397 That's a nice, open-minded approach to take towards music like this.

English teachers often like to take music that offers different perspectives on the topics discussed in class or the books read- my AP English teacher last year had us listen to "The Ghost of Tom Joad" to get a better understanding of Steinbeck's message in The Grapes of Wrath. I'm sure your English teacher had some similar purpose in choosing this song.

  • @grant1205 im taking an honors english class, and the stupid teacher thinks that examining songs that no one our age cares about is more important then doiing actual english

  • @dudeperson397 And since you yourself stated that you hate the lyrics, song, and singing I do not see how you can like the music at all. Nice job trying to save face you cowardless dung.

  • @dudeperson397 why is an unintelligent little shit like you taking a class where you watch a Sondheim show? You are failing, that is for certain.
