@barf245 LOL the MLS is an upgraded Saturn 5 but it does not run on kerosene and does not have the big f 1 engines it will take years to build as for the Liberty rocket the parts are all ready here NASA,EDS,and ATK Thiokol just need to build it because it was already tested

@geomodelrailroader They are planning to launch in 2014 it would be interesting if they used a upgraded Saturn V rocket..I doubt it.

@barf245 LOL but to launch a rocket you need an engine right now the ESA Merlin engine and the J2X are in development also the solid fueled Thiokol DM4 solid rocket engine is about to be tested if the Orion is going to get off the ground it needs an engine to get it in to space.

Now the shuttle is dead and Orion is making progress. Kinda funny they are going back to the Apollo capsule design.
