doing a bit of research, I see he was forgotten mostly by hiphop history; i mean, hes touring with fuckin john mayer right now, and looking at some of the bands they toured with back in the day (u2, rage against the machine, nirvana) i'm not that surprised. listening to it again, the track seems more like '94 era NiN so i guess putting it in the context of the evolution of hiphop was improper; its more a precursor to 90s "industrial" like The Downward Spiral than anything else
