@dalektaliban Not eveyone hates him. I've read comments from some people who liked him. I thought he was better than Nyssa. They should have got rid of her and left Adric and Tegan. The trouble was that he was far more intelligent than Nyssa or Tegan. In the final episode of Earthshock could you imagine Nyssa or Tegan trying to solve logic codes to divert the freighter. Also he'd always try to understand what the Doctor was doing rather than the usual 'Yes Dr, no Dr, three bags full Dr'.

I think the demise of Adric in Earthshock, was more dramatic and more memorable than the demise of Gan in Blake's 7 in the episode Pressure Point. I did,nt like the cybermen in Earthshock as much in earlier cyberstories, such as tenth planet, moonbase, tomb of the cybermen, the wheel in space and the invasion . T he cybermen in earthshock were not at all menacing or scary like the cybermen of the sixties who were very creepy and menacing . I also found the voices of the cybermen very scary.
