You can thank your elected officials who regulate the insurance companies. They're the ones who prohibit insurance companies from selling their policies across state lines and mandates what must be in the policies for the states they're in.

Imagine how expensive automobiles would be if you could only purchase certain cars in the state you live in with options you don't want. And you can't go to another state to buy a different brand or model.

He sounds like a preacher-man, I dislike that tone. Mr President, I like my America they way it is, EVERYTHING IS BROKEN IN YOUR EYES, IT'S SICK and DISGRACEFULL. Most Americans are happy, maybe you should put on a smile once and a while!!!!

I agree Davesthe1, I would like to see some real reform too. Why Congress limits competition in the health insurance industry is beyond me.

The health industry is becoming dominated by a few large players, dividing the country into no competition monopolies. Driving health care costs out the roof.

Why our govt has regulated the industry like that is beyond me. Why doesn't our federal govt allow insurance co's to compete across state lines, end state mandates and legislate tort reform?
