Wbber's and Rinne's test are now rarely performed in clinical exmainations as they are limited by lack of precision and accuracy. Alternatively, you can use an otoscope but I think during the OSCE's, the time constraints may make it difficult to use one.

@mamaalik12 Yes, I fully agree with you. Ideally you should be getting the patient to shrug up the shoulders against resistance instead of doing the chicken wing.

doesnt the chicken wing power test for deltoid rather than the trapz which XI supplies.

@lizzwhizz23 - i have been asked to test the function of the nerves that supply power and sensation to your face and shoulder. this will invole me having a feel, and also asking you to do a few movements, which ill explain as i go along. - OK?

What do you say at the beginning that you are testing the function of? I've got an exam soon and I'm trying to work out how to introduce and explain the examination.
