It's funny that people think of Pixar as some sort of small animation company that "struck it big against the multinationals" or something like that. It went from George Lucas to Steve Jpbs to Disney, and only started making cartoons because their computers weren't selling.

They stole all my ideas! Toys that talk? That's my idea!

This work is very cool. I thought I'd seen too much autobiographic work, but this one comes across fresh, quirky and really fun, as if the genre was invented right here! Never mind the sound quality, your talent in storytelling is worth much more!!

The soundtrack could use some work. Ghastly popping Ps, and the monologue hardly being intelligible at times.

yeah i agree. i'm trying to improve my recording technique. i recorded many versions. that version was the most decent out of so many tries.

Apologies for sounding so negative. But you know, I think you've got a great voice! So it's worth working on that.

To get rid of the popping Ps, buy a "pop screen" (google that term) or make yourself one from nylon stockings and

an embroidery frame. Also, if you don't have it, use an audio editor, so that you can splice together the audio

track from shorter segments, so that you don't have to deliver a flawless performance for minutes on end. Best of

luck!

i've bought a new microphone since that time i made this film. it's got a foam cover over it, so i think it should help dampen the popping sounds.

although an improvement, it's still a cheap PC microphone (just like the one i used for this film since i can't afford a more expensive one for now) so it still has its limitations.

yeah i use Audacity to put together the sound. the narration already was the best "compilation" of all the different takes i made. hehe.
