A Holga camera is a cheap plastic (medium format) film camera made in China. I have one and I like it a lot, but medium film and the limits of film in general makes it a very slow process to work with.

So, about 18 months ago, I found a website that sold Holga lenses that could be mounted on a Canon EOS digital camera: http://www.holgamods.com/xt/xt.html

I got one for my Canon 30D which made getting a Holga look a much easier process.

Today I needed something to 'play with' and put the Holga lens on my Letus just to have some fun. The lens itself is just a piece of plastic, so the look is... well, lets say 'Made in China' :)

I threw in some Magic Bullet Looks and some 'old school' music. It is what it is - hope you like it...

  • i like it, this is what i searching for almost 2years....thx Mr. Rico.

  • This lens looks awesome, I am hoping santa brings me one tonight :) people are saying whats the point of the lens, my reply is that its just a bit of fun, it adds some style to the videos and is something different to the sharp footage digital camera lenses produce nowadays, it recreates the retro footage which everyone is always trying to do with normal lenses easily and theres no need for much post production colour corrections. This video had some great shots, I have subscribed, :)

  • @joeynuggetz I thought the vid was made for showing us the image quality of the lens not blowing your mind.

  • What a useless video. Its a video of a camera and magazines. Geeze, shoot some footage in the back yard for more that 2 seconds will ya

  • I just ordered a Holga lens for Panasonic. Gonna try it on my GH1. It was just under $20, but only problem is, it's gonna take over two weeks shipping from HK.

  • i have the same as you but in red do actually have use a 35 mm film??
