  • whats the deal with the steering wheel cracking in the same spot...mine did the same thing!

  • @therealmr970 LOL I have seen similar stress cracks on a couple other Imperial steering wheels, but I have seen many more without any cracks at all. I attribute the cracked steering wheels to time spent out in the HOT SUN over many years.

  • I always loved that model of Imperial. However the lean burn engine gave fits.

  • @49bobbyk Yes the EFI can give you fits, but for those of us that have learned from each other through online blogs about potential issues, the 81-83 Imperial can be a very reliable Daily Driver. I'm not suggesting to drive any of these Wonderful Imperials as a Daily Driver, they are too Nice and too Few for that, but the EFI cars can be a pleasure to drive.

  • Beautiful car!!! This car has more class in one inch of it than any Japanese cars out on the road now a days!

  • @GayUOPXBoy10 Thanks well there are a lot of opinions out there about what cars look better. I can tell you that I can't drive this car anywhere without people checking it out, commenting on how much they Love it. I'm amazed at how many people have no idea what an 81-83 Imperial is, but they are fascinated. I have noticed many people feel the need to show off on the road in front of the Imperial, I'm guessing they are feeling like their ride doesn't quite measure up when next to an Imperial.

  • I do not like analog dashes, as I prefer digital as it looks so cool. Futuristic and so colorful!

  • Chrysler should bring back the Imperial.

  • @Hiayokie Sorry to hear that, seems like a lot of 81-83 Imperials have been victims of strange and tragic mishaps.

  • I drove one ( a company car in 82' my favorite car ever, sadly one day while at breakfast it was in an accident, someone ran their truck through a red light and flipped on top of where I parked the car. It did make the papers. man I miss that car. it was a head of its time!!!!

  • I'm DROOLING!!! I LOVE THESE CARS! I have a 1979 Chrysler New yorker!! This is in many ways similar to my car. VERY technologically advanced for the time!!
