Racially and "culturally" he is black and white, but in the US there are the echoes of the historical rule that anyone with some "black"/African blood is black. Yet, in the Caribbean brown people tend to be privileged when compared to blacks. Odd that he mispronounces the name: Obama is not a name of Arab origin (it's Luo/Kenyan), if that's the reason for the Al...or he truly does not know....
