The Lament of the Starks | Game of Thrones

So i think everyone knows this song
I simply decided to use the instrumental with out the "Does this darkness have a name" because i wanted to solely look at Ned's death and how it affected his family.

Let me just say Ned Starks death was extremely hard for me. What was even harder was Robb's reaction too it. I don't know why, but when Catelyn says "You've ruined your sword." It kills me everytime, i guess 'cause it's so inconsequential compared to what Robb just lost. I assume that's what the writers were going for and it worked. Ned was my favourite character and i was completely stunned and devastated. The only thing that beats Neds death is the Red Wedding in a Storm of Swords (don't even get me started on THAT). Also, the fact that Arya and Sansa had to watch it is just ugghhh. Poor Sansa. I feel like she had it the worst because she had to look at the head after and was betrothed to the man who did that to her father. I have the utmost sympathy for Sansa, she's my 2nd favourite character now after Robb.

*CREYS* I was in complete denial over Ned's death. I convinced myself that they had killed an impostor in his place. I guess in the end his death goes to show that love, duty and honor is not always respected and that sometimes it just means nothing when the others don't fight fair. I love the starks. Ned's death was very symbolic it represents the death of other things too for his family but also a new beginning and rebirth for the characters. Oh my heart though.
