It is a brief explanation about a relativistic space propulsion system which uses a lattice/matrix of Phase Displacement Space Drives, producing crisscrossing pattern of Phased Standing Waves, to generate a sequence of spinning waves for causing a FTL moving force, in order to warp spacetime, enabling fast interstellar travel in an energy-efficient way.

I'm afraid there are three possibilities:

    1. this is another "reactionless drive" which cannot exist because it violates conservation of momentum,

    2. this is another "photon drive" - which is probably true, because it's using EM fields - and that makes it pretty useless with Isp=c and F=P/c (1 Newton at 300MW of power),

    3. ...somehow "space" is something you can push off to gain momentum... but it would probably cause some backward gravity wave travelling at c, so it is no better than point 2.

"Beyond Earth's protective atmosphere and extending all the way through interplanetary space, electrified particles dominate the scene. Indeed, 99% of the universe is made of this electrified gas, known as plasma."

source: The electric atmosphere: Plasma is next NASA science target (phys.org)

Thus, vacuum of space in the universe is filled with electric/magnetic fields/waves then it is possible to interact with electric and magnetic fields of the universe to generate propellant-less propulsion.

Instead of trying to warp space/time. how about trying to workout how to stop it from warping. I will explain and i'm not talking about anti gravity here. if space/time warps due to the velocity/mass of a spacecraft. you could consider this drag just like what an aircraft has to deal with. however if you cancelled out the interaction of the spacecraft with space/time you would be able to travel faster than light. and when you want to slow down. just disable the system and use like space brakes.

Good idea, but I have no clue how to cancel the interaction of the starship with spacetime.

This version is just to stretch spacetime behind the starship to cause acceleration to attain to subluminal speeds in an energy-efficient way. At halfway, for stopping, the starship must turn around 180º to start the deceleration phase. The artificial gravity comes from the acceleration similar to an elevator speeding up or falling down.

A more complete warp drive is to come up after this version tested.

Unfortunately, due to lack of funding.

If you built a prototype, I'd say test it out on water so you can see the propulsion at low voltage

The boat tends to ride up as the water is unable to get out of the way fast enough.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I was more so coming at this from an aeronautical engineers perspective than a physicists. to fly an aircraft we don't try to warp the atmosphere around the aircraft to propel it. (there are techniques that I know of but I won't go into that) we try to streamline it. I believe that as you approach/reach the speed of light space/time would not be able to compensate for your location at the front of your craft fast enough. we streamline it. imagine a boat and it's wake.

Hmm isn't this the opposite of what they are trying to achieve ? Canceling all interaction with space/time , cancels all forces . No force = no propulsion , no propulsion means no movement , doesnt it ? But even if this wasnt so , and there is 0 force and 0 inertia , and somehow there is some type of acceleration , that will result in infinite speed , or travel where the craft is at every point in the universe at the same time , doesnt it ? But more importantly , what will hold atoms together ?

If you want to interact with interstellar medium, then the EM field from the drive would have to extend thousands of kilometers beyond the ship to produce any significant amount of thrust. Anyway, even if we were able to create this spacefaring "turbofan", it has very little to do with spacetime distortion.
