@lizrose57 oh i think the kids wanted the rocker elvis now dont get me wrong elvis is the best no matter what . but 3 yrs later those guys came from england with upbeat songs and here was elvis fresh n the memories of people n a tux singing fame and fortune now hanging with sinatra,and n movies singing loves songs .if i would have been the col. he would have been on sullivan again and rocked then put him in some serious movies mixed in with the others ,and put out a mix of rock and love songs.

Elvis has no equal in the history of this planet in the field he dominated , that of music and sex symbol and matinee idol. Elvis invented himself and the world will always try to imitate him as long as mankind exists. He was the culmination of unapproachable perfection , they'll never be another one.
