In this short film, we learn of a great Saint, Robert Robinson. As a teenager, he lived a reckless lifestyle including getting drunk and raising hell. This all changed through a series of events, which eventually led to him giving his life to Jesus. Afterwards, he went on to pastor several churches and wrote many hymns, including, "Come thou Fount."

This clip is taken from the sermon "Part 1: The Rebel's Guide to Joy," preached by Pastor Mark Driscoll at the Mars Hill Church Ballard campus in Seattle, Washington, on October 07, 2007. It is the 1st sermon in our sermon series on the Book of Philippians.

  • My favorite hymn in the entire world is "Come, Thou Fount" and has been since 2008, shortly after I came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. There is no joy, no hope beside the Lord Jesus. I, too, had a misspent youth like Robert, but God turned me around to lead a life of purity and honor and devotion to God. Praise His name!

  • The statue was Wesley.
