Diving from Dumaguete in Negros, Philippines:
- Ducomi pier: 6 dives.
- Dauin: 4 dives.
- Apo Island: 6 dives.
There are several great dive sites close to Dumaguete with the highlight being Ducomi Pier. The pillars of the pier have nice corals and are a majestic view from below, but the main attraction are the small critters in the sand and on the pillars like various Nudibranches, Flatworms, Seahorses, Pipefish, Frogfish, Scorpionfish, Cuttlefish and large schools of Catfish, Batfish and Shrimpfish. Apo Island has strong currents and large stuff like schools of Trevally, Turtles, Humpheads, Seasnakes as well as Frogfish and Nudibranches.

Is the port in Dauin?

The pier is in the main pier for the Dumaguete Coconut Mill (DuCoMi) and is located between Dumaguete and Dauin.
Need to book with a dive operator ahead as the site is limited to just one group at a time, but I usually managed get a slot for the next day.
I have however heard some rumors that corals now ahve been removed from parts of the pillars. Very sad if that is the case as this is one of the best macro sites in the world.
