@untamedbish81 I'm a UK fan, but I grew up also liking U of L, Morehead, Murray, WKU, and EKU, because they're all Kentucky schools.
-
I am a UK fan, and I think that as a KENTUCKIAN, and with all of the schools from kentucky that do play bball, that we should be happy for whichever teams wins. Whether it be EKU, UofL, UK, Western, Morehead, or Murray State.
We ARE in the same state AND we are supposed to ALL be adults! Besides, it's not like these games have any hold or weigh any on how our lives turn out anyway! People need to stop being so hardcore and childish and learn what sportsmenship REALLY is.
-
@SFFOOL76 I do think so and I'll need proof until I think otherwise.
-
@SFFOOL76 I dunno. I have my moments of being irrational and hating the Cards. I try to keep things in perspective...most of the time. It's just a lot easier to do when you're winning! :P

You are a level headed Kentucky fan , which is a first.

For years, Kentucky said they had a policy of never playing another in-state school in the regular season. Then in the 70's,. Kentucky said they would play other in-state schools, but only in Lexington. That wasn't good enough for Louisville, they wanted to alternate game sites between Louisville and Lexington. After the '83 NCAA game, the state legislature got involved. They threatened to pass a state law mandating this. UK finally gave in and agreed to an alternating site series.

Since 1994, the SEC has had 3 national champions: 1.) Arkansas, 2.) UK, and 3.) Florida. The Big East has had 2: 1.) Connecticut and 2.) Syracuse. To be fair you could go back 10 years further and include titles won by Georgetown, Villanova and Louisville but at that point Louisville wasn't part of the Big East. It's more a testiment to how well Louisville built their program playing in a smaller conference and in the same state as UK. Currently, UK is going to be really good. UL not so much

@cardman880 That was hilarious...BUT Go Cats!
-
John Tesh used to be a CBS Sports analyst????? Wow. How do you go from college basketball reporter to crappy new age musician?

SCARY CAT'S !!!

........and on probation .
Great recruiter, love his DDM offense , however too much baggage and can't coach in crunch time.
-
back in those days 1959 was only 24 years before that, now its been 26 years since that dream game...idc though that they lost then bc UK owns the series anyway

This is, without a doubt, the greatest NCAA basketball game intro of all time. I'm a huge UK fan but it was wrong for Rupp to never play Louisville and even more wrong for Joe B to continue that practice. This game was the best thing that could ever happen for both schools. Most of the time, at least one of the two schools are ranked and count as a quality win for one another. UK plays in a traditionally weaker SEC, so it may help them more. That said, the SEC is getting better.
