this is really helpful!

we have a 14.2hh 11 yr old highland pony,and he hates clippers!

he rears and becomes so dangerous if he just sees them!

we have bought recently wahl hand clippers?,that are silent,so there no electric!

we spend hours clipping him that way.but i dont think we can keep clipping him this way.

so,,i think im going to have introduce clippers to him,like we would to a youngster so this video helped alot!

@pirate1405 actually these hairs are vital parts of the horse in italy too not just in germany :) .... well the first thing I've been taught about horses when grooming and clipping them is NOT to cut the hair into his ears and the vibrissae.... apparently some people prefer a better looking horse rather than a perfectly healthy one

In Germany it is not allowed to clip the horse into his ears and the vibrissae around the eyes and the nostril because it is a cruel against horses. In Germany these hairs are vital parts and the clipping violate the law.

i sweat trimming horses has to be the DUMBEST thing i have EVER hears

oooh i love clipping but if youre clipping off a rthick coat, the hair gets EVERYWHERE! :P

pony at my yard, has cushing's and we clipped his whole body the other day, and he's grey so alll the hairs show up on you :P :L

other pony, hes realllly old, so doesnt shed his winter coat as well, so we had to fully clip him as well, his coat was SO thick!!
