The Battle at Stono Ferry was one of the few lost by the Patriots to the Redcoats.

The Camden Revolutionary Field Days it's a prestigious 3 day event, held on the 1st weekend in November, honoring South Carolina's critical role during the American Revolution.

Did you know that more Revolutionary War battles were fought in SC than in any other states?

  • South Carolina had more battles and skirmishes than any other state in the rev war and that's a fact, but the most talked about ones are in the north like new York, battle of kings mountain and cowpens are some of the most important in sc

  • I always thought New York had more battles than that of South Carolina. Considering the New York City/ Manhattan Campaign, the retreat from New York. Fort Ticonderoga, Bennington, Saratoga etc etc. Not to mention St. Johns Island fight.
