CM901 (Colt Modular 901)
Features ambidextrous controls for the bolt release mechanism, magazine release, and fire selector/safety lever

The CM901 will accept many / most AR upper receiver assemblies

Can accommodate many types of ammunition including:
5.56x45mm NATO
6.8x43mm SPC
7.62x39mm
7.62x51mm NATO

Colt plans to release a semi-auto model called the SP901 in late 2011

CM901 is unlocked from the beginning of Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 3 game as confirmed by a leaked list of s coming to MW3

Does anyone know if an AK mag will fit in the SP901's magwell? If so couldn't they create an adapter so that you could use AK mags (with the right upper and bolt)?

no, and while anything is possible I doubt that would be something Colt cares about doing

@TheSillmatic Yeah, I know and if the mag well was a 5.56 I would think there would be no way this would work, BUT... the 7.62 Nato is significantly longer than the 7.62x39 SO conceivably there MAY be enough room in the 7.62 NATO mag well to "rock" in an AK magazine.

@wye4379 No AK mag will fit into a mag well. AK mags clip in to their respective receiver, front to back, instead of ARs sliding in the mag well.

@GunWebsites do you know why the Army rejected the CM901?! I mean it's an M4 variant and it can quickly change from the 5.56x45mm NATO to the more powerful 7.62x51mm NATO!! Anyways do you know any reliable sellers for the SP901?!
