  • Take all the classes!!

  • How bad is it to not take any AP or honers courses? Will I still be able to go to a good university? Could I take AP community collage classes, after high school, to improve this?

  • @Cvoong Well actually it depends on the college. Some will appreciate the fact that you took such a complex course, such as AP Chemistry or AP physics. If you get a B, for example, they will take into account the complexness of the AP style course and would actually recommend you over a student who got an A in CP (Colllege Prep) Chemistry. AP really does show that you are even smart enough to pursue a course such as it.

  • @foxygrandma950 Though your GPA is weighted higher with those AP classes, a B is still a B in the view of those who review your college application.

  • even though a B in an AP class is like an A in a normal class, which is better (from the perspective of a college): a B in an AP class or an A in a normal class?

  • guys, listen to purvi. she was my college counselor and helped me get into my dream school. i"m at uc berkeley now :)

  • @helpvidz: haha, go ahead then! Mind you, I'm not claiming to be any expert. As I said in a comment below, the term college-admissions expert is an oxymoron. There are so many X factors that make everything subjective.

  • @TVwatcha01 I would like to PM you.

  • Do colleges prefer SAT or GPA!

  • @TVwatcha01 Thanks for replying.
