Arrested protester released by will of the people in Glasgow anti-cuts march 01 October 2011

More than 15,000 people took to the streets of Glasgow in protest over the UK Government's austerity measures.

A coalition of trade unions, anti-poverty campaigners, faith groups and other civil society organisations marched, in torrential rain, from Glasgow Green to a rally in Kelvingrove Park where they heard a speech by veteran campaigner and ex-government minister Tony Benn.

This video is about a protester who is arrested and released short time afterwards.

Tony Benn refused to report the Ten Irish Hunger Strikers in 1981- who went on to die - by boycotting protests for them and refusing to raise the issue in parliament at the time. He also condemned black and white youth for defending themselves against police violence in 1981in Brixton and has a list of other dirty deeds to his name. This man is no friend of the people he is part of the establishment and a shameful apologist for British Imperialism! Meet the Challenge - Break with Labour!

@dangerousdyer You couldn't be more wrong. I'm from Australia, and even I know that it's not the unemployed creating problems in your backyard. It's corporate greed and lack of educational funding and support. Students are thousands and thousands of dollars in personal debt. How do you expect them to get a job when there's none to be had except those that require a high degree or a speciality diploma? Some children can't even affort a moderately good achool, let alone a good college. Research.
