We're leaving for Kenya soon and one layer of protection against mosquito borne diseases is repellent. In addition to DEET cream (we're using 3M Ultrathon) we're treating our clothes with permethrin. This video is us diluting our 1 quart of 10% permethrin with 10 gallons of water to make a 0.25% solution for soaking.

  • What product did you use here? Where can it be found? Was it a commercial pesticide or did you find just "diluted permethrin"? The reason being commercial pesticide may be dangerous to soak your clothes in (despite permethrin as the main ingredient.)

  • hey. i need permethrin. I'm from Singapore and I have no idea where to find those. Where did you get that from?

  • So, it is now December. I see you did the deed... did it work? I am going on an Appalachian Trail hike and my main concern is ticks & mosquitos. Do you recommend someone doing what you did?
