How to Install MAME

This video shows you the basic set up that you need to play classic arcade games.

Recommended system requirements to play games like street fighter 2 are: 2.0Ghz processor, 512 sdram. If you go under 2Ghz you need FSB of 800Mhz.

I have an AMD Sempron 6000+ (1.8 Ghz) with 800 fsb and 1GIG ddr. Over kill for most.

I know this video is old. I watched it as was having trouble getting the roms to work. As I now realise, I shouldn't of unzipped them. I downloaded the 64 bit version. I just saved it to my documents and downloaded the roms (unzipped) into the roms folder. There is no menu on the version i downloaded, it just tells you what games you have and red yellow or green in relation to if they work good or not. The controller installed itself, Sorted.I use an S-joy convertor for a PS2 controller for info

Mame32 or UI source hasn't been updated in years. Its the very worst and SLOWEST version of mame there is. Its really bad, especially with newer roms.

A far better choice would be Mame + or Mame Plus XT.
