Lyra is a 3 premie studbook mare with a full pedigree. She is out of a Star mare by Ulke (Ylse Nienke). Ylse Nienke comes out of the multi champion Model mare Maaike Nienke H. Maaike Nienke H. became 2 times Champion of the Netherlands in Tandem driving together with her brother Gebrand who received in his Sport career, 8 Championships in total in front of the Sjees!!!!! Maaike Nienke was also very successful at the keurings. She received 10 first premies in total in her life!!!!

Maaike Nienke (Lyra's grandmother) is also the mother of the Champion showdriving friesian from this year, Andries H ( a Goffert son).

The Mother of the approved stallion, Bendert 381, Odina star+pref is also a half sister to Maaike Nienke!!!

The approved Stallion Rik ( Oltman x Reitse)is also very close related to Meike Nienke.

This mare line is well known as top producer of Sport horses and show driving world champions.

Lyra is very experienced in harness, she has been driven extensively in the last two years.

She is really FUN to drive! She is also very good in a pair. Currently Lyra is being ridden 5 times per week, so she is also very good under saddle.

Lyra is 100% safe in traffic, and on the trail.

Mewes 438 (Teeuwis x Oege) will be the father of her foal that will be born around the last week May/first week June 2010. Mewes 438 was top 4 Stallions in the Stallion Show in Leeuwarden this year.
