From its original broadcast (March 29, 1978), here are the final minutes of "A Special Evening With Carol Burnett." This was also the final "Carol Burnett Show." Carol thanks the crew, talks about her decision to stop the show, and sings "I'm So Glad We Had this Time Together" one last time.

I guess there's two words that sum up great talent, comedic genius, grace, poise and REAL class...Carol Burnett.

I cried through the entire video. It was like yesterday when as a young child was so disappointed to see her leave. I was so ready for bed by the time Carol would sing her song. My Dad would carry me to bed and tuck me in. I'm about to turn 49 years old now. Carol, we all miss you, and the rest of the gang so much. Television had it right back then. You are amazing.
