Crazy guy in Southwest Detroit

This guy was sitting next to me at Duly's Coney Island on Vernor. I think that he was under the impression that the both of us were cops. He kept on rambling about how he we need to go back to old fashioned police work. He apparently has a detailed plan at home for how the marines need to take over the responsibilitie of the Detroit Police. I thought maybe he was so crazy that he thought we were in the middle of the Detroit riots, but he knew that it was 2007, that Kwame was the mayor, and that Kwame isn't that good for the city.

Update! This was sent to me by someone who lives in the neighborhood:

"he was off his meds or sumthin, he busted his own car windos out, he almost stol a limo from holy redeemer church, he was walkin by our house wit a blanket around his neck carrying a saint statue hes just crazy" (sic)

The sad result of what happened when the ever brilliant Gov. Engler shut down the mental hospitals and these folks ended up on the street... it's a damn shame... I live in the city and you run into stuff like this all the time... they need help... I mean I was chuckling too but it's really sad that these people are just left to fend for themselves until they hurt themselves or someone and are given "help" for the wrong reasons...
