Troops take control of another village The troops have succeeded in taking control of another village located North of Vannerikulam. The achievement was made by troops of the 9th Gemunu Hewa Regiment of the 58th Division. Our Special Representative Sujith Vithana Pathirana reporting from the battlefront said the LTTE had been active in the village putting up several bunkers. However, troops of the 58th Division succeeded in entering the village after heavy skirmishes. The troops surmounted the challenges and have consolidated their positions within the village. There were thick forests, shrubs and open space which helped the LTTE to locate themselves, adopting tactful strategies to attack the troops.
