The thing is, after seeing the film a few times, there's a dark, sadistic and oddly sardonic mood...it's a thriller/horror...so a man saying 'Shining' like it's an optimistic feeling in a corny Brady Bunch voice just made my day haha.

I only wish that the movie had been as uplifting as the trailer. It was an excellently-made movie as it was, but... never hurts to switch out scaring for loving, eh...

I am the biggest wimp when it comes to scary movies. I absolutely hate them. One time, I watched the Ring and couldn't turn the lights off in my house for a year. So I watched this video, and for a while, I thought that the Shining was actually like this. Then I went to a party where we all watched the shining, and normally I wouldn't have let anyone pick a scary movie, but I legitely thought this was a happy one. and it's safe to say that i had a RUDE awakening.
