  • Could you explain how you achieved the starting effect and what camcorder you used?

I tend to have great success using more primitive CCD sensors or vidicon/Havicon tubes to achieve certain effects.

  • OK! The starting effect is due to subtle use of the zoom control - zooming out shrinks the image. Zoom back in and it grows. Even focussing will have some effect on the magnification.

The camera is from 1980 and is a 3 tube analogue studio / o.b. camera. with big old t.v. to complete the circuit. Extra fun with vision mixer in the circuit!

  • well, talking about video here, i find that incredibly hard to believe... how could the video sensors pick up a signal too powerful for them to handle without damage from a tv screen? it's nothing like pointing it at the sun... i mean, even at it's brightest possible, a fully white tv screen is not going to hurt a video camera just from pointing it at it... this really is a pretty different situation from feeding back audio through an amp, and even those can handle quite lot and have limits.

but hey..... keep up the fractals..... i stiil do it......

    cheers!

  • An audio and feedback loop is hard on a camera's internal electronics.

  • what?P

  • Fun, but soo bad for the camera

  • JAJAJA GO AND SEE U L T I M A Y A another feedback master laboratory.....

  • This is distinctly mandalic. Loop this for 20 minutes and it's serious meditation if you're paying attention.
