This video was taken in Toronto in on Friday September 11,2009. It shows just how much drivers do not pay attention. In Ontario new laws against drinking and driving, and street racing had been legislated. Now we should focus on School Bus Runners.
City TV in Toronto saw my video and showed up the following Monday and caught some amazing footage. It will be aired shortly, I will update this when I know it will be aired.
I have also created an email schoolbusrunners@gmail.com to get your feedback. I DO NOT CARE WHERE YOU LIVE; Canada, USA, Europe, etc... Email me and I will create a web site to pull all this together and help educate drivers.

Who's decision was it to make that a school bus stop? Couldn't they use the side streets.

It turns out that in this case the schhol bus driver appears to be wrong. I phoned first student after seeing a school bus make a similar stop without using the lights. First Student told me that the drivers are not supposed to use the red lights withing X number of meters of a traffic light, I think it was 200? I also asked a bus driver from another company and he verified that the warning lights should not be used withing X number of meters of a traffic light.

In Ontario no matter how many lanes wide the road the traffic should stop in both directions if the top lights of the bus are flashing, (the stop sign is just decoration).
The TTC bus should be 20 meters behind the school bus.
But who in there right mind would allow a school bus to stop traffic on such a busy street surely there could be a safer place to let these kids off the bus.

it looks like ,the people going around cant see the school bus ,on account of the city bus blocking there veiw,in fla. the kid cant cross in front of the bus at any time, if you are a parent you have to pick them up on the same side the bus stops on ,if you live on the other side of the road you have to wait till the bus comes back the other way, seems very costly to make the run both ways ,but i guess no more than it would cost if someone got wacked crossing in front of the bus

are u tarded..?

not really. If there were kids waiting for the bus on the other side, they have to wait for that bus to make a u-turn and come back for them.. they are seperated by a double yellow line..

that depends on the local state laws, usually if it's more than 3 lanes then no.
