How can the orthdox attach the pope because he claims to be head of the catholic church but the orthdox church has their own head?

@dis00612 In the early Church when the church's or the see's were all united the church of Alexandria and the Church of Rome were given to their leaders the name of Pope... but the Orthodox understanding of this is different than the Catholic one. We do not say the Pope is infallible on his chair, he is 1 among equals meaning, his word doesn't create church law, but rather the synod does... he is head of the church but the meaning and powers given to him are not like the Catholic Church

@kustacma10 OH ok i see but another thing is that papal infallibilty and the pope being first among equals is biblical and inspired by the church fathers.

@dis00612 Well brother its really up for interpretation... see when Christ asked his disciples who am i? and they answered and saint Peter said you are the "Messiah, the son of the living God." and he said "you have answered rightfully" and then changed saint Peters name to Peter, He then said "upon this rock i build my church." the catholic church interpreted that Peter should lead... but Christ was talking about what Peter said and the following verse says, "and those who want to be first

@dis00612 "those who choose to be first will be last" so we interpret differently... also the Catholic church made St. Peter their founder if you will, but the Bible also says that st. Paul never went anywhere where other apostles or disciples went to preach... so we think saint peter went to syria, and st.paul is tha patron saint of the Catholic Church... I studied this along time ago so im no 100% sure of everything im saying but this is what i remember.

@dis00612 I am working on a new show, "modern challenges of faith" and we have many theological topics, I can propose we dedicate one episode to this topic :)
