I produced and edited this segment which included hiking up down Tallulah Gorge at least three times in one long but productive day. You'll see the steep trail we hiked down and then back up with all the camera gear. The water is released at full strength (about 500 cubic feet per second) four weekends a year, and we planned it so we'd be ready for one of the weekends in April. Shot by videographer Shane Keating using the XDCAM 700, edited with Final Cut Pro and color corrected using Color. Many thanks to the park manager and staff of Tallulah Gorge State Park and to series producer Sharon Collins. The footage from this segment will air as part of an outdoors show on statewide public television in Georgia in 2010. Featured are Hurricane Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Tempesta and others throughout the park.

Come show your support for Georgia State Parks and our mission: to protect, preserve and provide access to public green spaces. Visitors can join in organized service projects or just enjoy a day at one of our beautiful State Parks & Historic Sites... including free fishing. Its our chance to say thanks and your opportunity to find new ways to get involved and make a difference!
