A quick demo of the new aqsis renderer core rendering at interactive rates. I'm not sure I said it in the video, but the render window here is 640x480 with 2x2 supersampling (pardon the youtube compression ;-)

  • That is so immensely cool.

I also was unaware that it was possible to say "um" so many times in 7 minutes. :)

  • @banthepope Haha, you're right I did umm and ahh a lot. I actually noticed this before I posted it but I had no idea the demo would garner so many views. I will try to avoid it next time ;-)

  • Sure, there's no plan to drop support for 32 bit systems. Memory usage is also definitely on the agenda, and is currently much lower and more well behaved than aqsis-1.6.

  • so... umm.....

  • Seriously, this is really jaw drooping, man you are making software rendering with micropolys at real time? i just can't believe it

  • NICE

  • Hope you still keep 32Bit systems in mind... Would be a shame if the new aqsis wouldn't be able to render some stuff on older 32Bit platforms....

Anyways the speed is awesome!! Hope you also try to keep the memory usage as low as possible.

  • UMMMMMMMMMMMMM
