@Palmer4Pres My stereomix is working, my hypercam2 records from the stereomix and that pics up sound from my speakers. But it still doesn't work, I use Windows 7

Don't worry about these instructions guys. Just download Audacity 1.3 Beta (Unicode), it's simple software that get things done. Although it depends highly on your sound equipment.

POSSIBLE fix for WIN 7: Right click volume icon, choose "recording devices" If you see "Stereo Mix": Right click any other recoding devices and select "disable". If you don't see "stereo mix", right click somewhere in the white area of the recording box, and select " show disabled devices." Then you MIGHT see "stereo mix." If so, right click any other recoding devices and select "disable". Search for "recorder" to find the sound recorder, turn up the volume for the music source, and hit record.

I have realtek too but my stereomix is unavailable... it's light grey.
