Bellydance How to: Maya Pt. 2 (Legs & Feet)

My second Bellydance Instructional for How to Maya, this time focusing on the movements of the legs and feet.

I am NOT performing here. The REASON I am not wearing long pants or a long skirt is so you can SEE what I am doing exactly with my legs and feet. It's called an INSTRUCTIONAL NOT a performance. I AM wearing SHORTS on under my hipscarf. People wear workout clothes in instructionals if they need to SHOW what a particular body part is doing.

When you are coming up - and your hips are moving "out, up, in" it is NOT a Maya it is a vertical figure 8, maya's are up down and out. Check with your local instructor.

You are clear in your speech which is good. And for your attire in this video I recommend either a longer pair of shorts or a pair of tights. Appearance does matter in any instructional type of format. Check out other DVD's for attire of the dancers who have been doing this a while and learn from them. :)
