  • My friend asked me what my favorite genre of music is, and i said Rush.

  • This song is still one of the most profound statements on the development of Nuclear Weapons. Neil Pert was a true poet in that he blamed no one for this, yet made it clear that we are ALL responsible.

The genie is out of the bottle, and there is no way to put him back in. Can we survive? That remains to be seen.

  • Call me crazy, but I like Truckfighters' "Manhattan Project" better. Even though they're different songs.

  • @spearce301 That was the only alternative that would have worked in the real world. And all those women and children? LOTS MORE would have died in an invasion. The Japanese government was teaching them to use bamboo spears to fight the invaders with. It would have been an unimaginable bloodbath and the bombs mercifully stopped it. You've been drinking the kool aid a bot too much methinks.

  • @karlmoles65.... Schoolars have pointed out that there were various alternatives to ending the war....The atomic bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshama were clearly just an extention of the already fierce bombing campaigns....not to mention it was illegal under the rules of positive international law....all those women and children....????? Ya they had it coming to them.....lol.....and im sure the members of RUSH would agree....

  • @AllNightLong3333

Exactly, either you get it or you don't.

  • @chkntrkr There's one thing wrong about what you said.

    It's Peart, not Pert.

  • @97iliketrains Just glad it ended without having to invade Japan, that would have been a epic of horror for all concerned.

  • @karlmoles65 True, my friend...

We thought the war would be over by Christmas...

    We were damn wrong...

  • @97iliketrains If you're talking about Nagasaki and Hiroshima they had it coming, it was the only way to end the war without even worse rivers of blood.

  • @mackbastard Nice nomination actually, kudos.
