This was the "Top Gun" of The 70's. I own the DVD, but I wish it had not only subtitles, but was also a special edition with 5.1 Surround Sound. Mr. Redford, get on the ball, will you?

I saw this film as a second feature to another movie I went to go see. I was so impressed I went back to see Waldo Pepper again. It is perhaps the most underrated film of all time. A practically perfect piece of film making. If you get an opportunity to see it or own it on DVD, dont hesitate a moment!

It's amazing how many people have never heard of this flick, especially since it stars one of the biggest movie stars ever. I always thought it was underrated. I haven't seen it in years, and I may have to go buy a copy just so I know it's there for when I have a craving for the Great Waldo Pepper.

@1mediaguy Two disturbing scenes, actually, both harrowing. Barnstorming wasn't all fun by any means, and this film makes that perfectly clear. It's easily one of the top10 aviation movies!

@mikecharliemike : I look at this stuff, then I see how we are now--talking about our illnesses, waiting for our government checks, our women contemptuous of us, working at boring jobs for 30 years at a stretch, sensitive to heat and cold, afraid of cigarettes and guns...something has to change. And it will.

Robert Redford: when men were men
Does the 1930s logo also appeared at the beginning of the film or the zooming globe logo?
