we call these babies in the Philippines "lantaka", can be made of bamboo, steel pipes, and recently PVC, kids these days no longer want to carve bamboo.

use "calboro" i think its sulfur where it reacts with a little water to make it flamable and ignite it with a burning stick

its an old school dude!

we here in the Philippines use now PVC pipes, lighter fluid and lighter ignitor.

its so easy to do that even street kids can do their own.

its cheaper than firecrackers and more fun!

Yeahh back home in borneo dudes muck around with these bad boys too .. Heaps of fun , but ive seen a few blow up .. kinda sketchy , guess it depends on the bamboo ..

yur bamboo cannon sucks... lawl.. try heating up the gas inside like really really hot... and i agree about xcarter2 and i used to put a bottle of water instead of cans, lawl..
