Visited the Walkway last Fall. A wonderful walk and the scenery is gorgeous. Thanks to all who made this possible.

My stepdad's father Thomas Ringwood was a fire fighter chief for the Poughkeepsie Fire Department and I remember him saying it was a big fire. Great video!

Good job on making this video you should more videos on Poughkeepsie

My son had to pick a bridge and write a report for his school. Your video was truly inspirational (as was our walk across the bridge). Thank you.

Fantastic documentary of a wonderful gift to us & future generations.

I made it there this weekend and loved it. It's beautiful. People looked so happy walking with their families, dogs or riding bikes. Glad this is available for all folks, but especially for Poughkeepsie residents... great progress.

You really should go. I've biked across it once, and walked it a couple weeks ago. Great views of the Hudson and Poughkeepsie.

This bridge seemed destined to rot with neglect. Now seeing it as a renovated Walkway Over the Hudson it is so awe inspiring. It's amazing what can be done with positive people at the helm and public support. Can't wait to walk it.
In 1966 i rode my motorcycle to the middle of the bridge. Took a few pictures, a locomotive came towards me at five mph as i stood to the side. I still have the pictures. My grandfather saw the opening of the bridge and i saw it burn at the end as a City of Pok. policeman. Compliments to the people who did this youtube video!

Wow, do you by any chance have digital copies of your pictures that you could send to me? I'd like very much to foward them to the Walkway chairman (Fred Schaeffer).

That was a great video. I remember the fire on the bridge, I worked at Vassar Hospital and could see it easily from there. What a history is about us in the Hudson Valley, so much to be appreciated and it's so beautiful!

Thanks. Again, I'm not that talented...but anyway. Now that the bridge is open, have you had a chance to go up onto it, assuming that you're still in the area?
It's just such a wonderful experience.
