Yes, I made it myself. It's mainly made of brass stock. I used a small lathe and mill. Search google for "single acting steam engine". You might find some plans.

which one is easeir to build the verticle stem engine or horisontal?

Hello; The vertical one in this video is easier to build than the horizontal engine in the other videos. This one uses a single acting piston, making setting up the steam valve easier, and it has less parts to make over all.
The horizontal uses a double acting piston which makes the steam valve setup and ports a little more difficult and it also has to have a gland seal made for it so steam doesn't leak out of the back of the cylinder.

I love it!! I just love little engines like this. I see that you built this yourself but do you know of any kits or anything? Id sure love to give this a try some time!

Thanks for your comment. Yes, I made it on a small lathe and mill. It is running on an aquarium pump, about 2 psi.
