This is me and jmd182 (who's amazing at singing!) covering Dammit by Blink 182. I played all of the instruments, he did the vocals. Enjoy!

Yeah yeah I know, drums are fake. Although I can play this song on drums, I used Superior Drummer 2.0 with a MIDI map I created myself. I can send you the file, just pm me. Also, this is not my set, these are my 9 year old brother's drums, that's why everything is so low.

My guitar is a modded Kramer Focus VT111S, now it has DiMarzio Super Distortion/PAF Pro pickup combo w/ a DiMarzio split coil selector. My bass is an Ibanez GSR200. The Casio keyboard is borrowed from my aunt :) Oh, and the drum kit is a Tama Imperialstar with Zildjian ZBT Rock cymbals.

Guitar Rig 4 was used for amp modeling - presets: All The Blink Things for lead, Para More for rhythm guitar and Picked Bass for bass.

I used GarageBand for recording and iMovie and Screenflow for video editing.

  • did you use mics? how did you record the guitars and bass so cleanly? dd you input into a programme?

  • @ILuminaireProdukts I recorded everything directly, it's in the description ;) Thanks for the comment!

  • great sound quality! and how did you keep time? you weren't wearing any headphones.

  • @TheJayman213 Thanks! I recorded everything directly so there was no bleed whatsoever and I could use my speakers.

  • @msmyla91 so you couldn't really hear what you were playing? impressive. but i'd also try it that way if my camera had an input.

  • @TheJayman213 I could hear what I was playing ;) I was recording audio in GarageBand (using my audio interface with my guitar plugged directly into it) and simultaneously shooting video (of course I threw away the audio from the camera afterwards). I could hear the drum track + I could monitor myself playing. It's just that I used speakers instead of headphones.

  • @KoralieMegan The same person is playing all of the instruments and that person is me. I don't even get how you could not notice that.

  • these 4 guys look the same

  • I see in the description that you made the drums yourself. i want to do this! how did you do that? I can't play drums and usually just make mine via "piano" keyboards lol. I'd love to know how to make them to sound better!
