Having beaten Hill's provisional pole time, Michael actually started another (and final) flying lap, wich saw him spin off the track in Tamburello chicane, due to a left rear suspension failure.

  • it looks like malaysia 2010..do you think?? schumacher retired in sepang this year like this problem..

  • @akinMS I think it's more like Fisichella's off in 2005, almost at the same place, and also because of the broken suspension. As for this year's Malaysia, i must say, Shumi had a different problem - a lost wheel nut, not a suspension failure. Maybe you mean the race, wich saw Michael finishing on three wheels. :D

  • lucky he wasn't taking the old tamburello when that gave way

  • sch so hinten rad aufhängung

  • @Binitec To call ANY F1 car ugly is ignorant to me. No offend. I can see your point. I myself remembered those occasions you mentioned. I even remember Schumi had to lean his head sidewards on the straights as his helmet caused trouble with the air intake. Anyways, F1 cars are a product of high class engineering. Amazing technical and aerodynamic solutions. But apart from that, I am also a fan of italian designing and the F310 was one of the last Ferraris that had that special touch.

Tastes differ but I think this was one of the ugliest F1 cars ever built. I liked the design the Ferraris from 87 to 95 very much and also from 98 to 04 But the 96 car was very ugly and its a wonder Schumacher scored 3 victories, I still remeber the engine blowing up on the warm up lap, when Schumacher was starting from pole position at Magny Cours.

  • @McTigerfussel I agree! I love the F310.

  • Haha, I love John Watson!

  • I was there! (rivazza)

  • Talk about driving the wheels off the car.

  • I had the chance to see this Ferrari F310 once. It was in a Shell exhibition here in my town (Campo Mourão / PR - Brazil) about 10 years ago. It was the only time I saw a F1 car so close in person. LOL

  • @McTigerfussel

this car was really ugly. in my opinion the cars from 2004-2006 where the best.
