In this American Meteorological Society video, Peter H. Diamandis, President of the X Prize Foundation and Zero Gravity Corporation, explains the economics of scale that make routine space travel in the not-too-distant future sound not only possible, but likely. Operational meteorology began a major growth phase as commercial aviation boomed in the 1930s in the aftermath of Lucky Lindburghs transatlantic and transformational flight. With the success of the Ansari X Prize showing the path for commercial human space travel, commercial operational forecasts of the near space environment may soon become a requirement and not just a dream.

Lol price per transistor for a macbook air is way fucking worse than any windows laptop, bad bad example Mr. Diamandis.

Scientists believe that the most efficient method to colonize space is with robots ,just think about a thousand billion years betwenn stars you must be frigging crazy, lets just send robots ...
That was a nice quote to put things in perspective 'How much a driver fear is and how much a driver curiosity is'

What we need is an infrastructure IN space. Where things are built and launched from orbit. I think there should be a prize for the first team to construct a spacecraft (small and not carrying humans) in space. Possible built by several tireless little robots.
the robots make it COOL!

2) The dream masks the nightmare. Earth law and space law are equally perverse in their misapplication. Where then sovereignty?

1) Dear Y'all,
The motivations speaks volumes, fear and wealth (curiosity doesn't pay?). The fear that the competition (Any similarly (greed/paranoia) driven party) may get there (infinite resources) first (Tesco vs. Sainsbury). The Wealth implied at 20 trillion dollars per 0.5km asteroid. The entire scheme (since 911) has been to lock the planet down to make way for unfettered exploitation of the NEO gateway to infinity. That is why the rights of the people of Earth are being eroded.
