  • don't make any images

  • @albusai Throw away your camera and disable picture capability on your cell phone.

  • seems like the bible argues everones side. you can say anything and use some scripture to back it up...becuase the views of a bunch of differenet men is in it!

  • The issue in the context. Any text without context is only a pretext.

  • just because we have Jesus on the cross doesant mean we automatically worship it. U anti-catholics should really grow up and stop assuming your own false opinions. How you judge others will end up how God judges you so stop putting catholisicm down falsly to put your religion up because you are only making things worse.

  • No. However a crucifix is not saying that Christ is still on the cross, a crucifix is telling the story of the crucifixion which is exactly what the gospels do and exactly what Paul did when he was preaching. Steve 2746, is the cross that Christ hung on still standing or around at all? No, but yet protestants think it is ok to wear and display crosses. The cross without Christ is a torture device. The cross with Christ is redemption of the world.

  • How about a cross design that combines the crucifixion and the resurrection? Check out the Miracle Cross at holonart.com.

  • @catholicexodus You draw further and further away from who He truly is when you place your own flawed interpretations of a Catholic Document (The Bible) above those of the Church that He created in that very Bible.

The Catholic Church has all authority in Christ's stead here on Earth - He said so in Matthew 16:18. You? You have NO authority to decide what Jesus meant when you misinterpret Sacred Scripture.

    Check your arrogance.

  • Christ's sacrifice on the cross is His greatest achievement - and the purpose He came down from Heaven: to die for our sins and reconcile us with God.

The Crucifix is the greatest symbol of the triumph of God over the devil.

  • Begotten?

  • @realmofblood It also helps remind us of how humble we must be as Christians, when we see Him hanging on the cross, dying and weak for us, how meek, loving, and humble we must be to immitate Him. He became so small, lived such a humble life among the hated and unclean people, and died like a criminal should die, for us. How much grace we need to be more like Him! That is another thing the crucifix can remind us of. I understand your feelings, too, but for me it is a beautiful symbol.

  • @realmofblood When I was a little kid, and not a believer, I found it scary, too. I found it ugly, and undesirable. But now, in Christ, I find it beautiful. The cross was not just naked, He hung on it. It was a scary, ugly thing for the disciples that day, but He was loving and saving them from the cross, too. So that is why I am happy to wear a crucifix, and find it beautiful, and meaningful.

  • @graceinmay sometimes those things are depressing as hell i mean if i had a kid and he was like 3 it would scare the hell out of them i mean no one wants to see a dead body on a cross it just looks disturbing thats why we Protestants prefur not to have a body on the cross.

  • actually it says not to make graven and images of me or the things in heaven or the things in hell haven picture and statues of Jesus is blasphemy. We dont even know what he looks like so yeah the Catholic church is known for that.

  • I have a crucifix, and I love it. It has on it the image of the One who died for me, and loves me, and loved me in spite of who I was, and am. Who endured so much for us, and whose mercy is infinite. I have nothing to repay Him with, but I love and kiss my crucifix out of gratitude, and bewildered happiness, that He should love and save someone like me.

  • @dcrippen2000 ( I agree with your statement thats what happen to other christian denomination which is a man made christianity and not established when jesus is here on earth.) Go catholicism and survive any false issue.
